So I got lucky and got myself a few really good armor attachments and that got me thinking.

What are the best armor pieces in which to put those attachments?

here I am thinking which single pieces of armor (or items in which armor attachments go) will last the longest/take the least mount of damage when fighting?

find some pre-cu gloves or boots that still have sockets in them and use them. they wont decay from use, only from cloning.

In my experience the order of decay (from fastest to slowest) is:

Pants
Helmet
Chest
Bracers
Biceps
Boots/Gloves

Boots and gloves no longer take damage from combat, only from cloning. That's why they take the least damage .

Without an ADK I would put AA's only in arm pieces. With ADK I would put them in pants, helmet, and chest and then ADK the pieces with AA's. That way I kill 2 birds with one stone... I protect the AA's and I save myself from having to buy new pants every couple of days/weeks.

Another thing to consider about using arm pieces for AA's is that you won't be able to use the AA's if you decide to use a cyber arm. So for instance, at some point I might want to use the "rez arm" which is a left-side arm. I won't put any AA's in left bracer or bicep because of this, and only use less important AA's in the right arm pieces. There are supposedly some cyber legs in game now too, and might be more in the future, so that's also something to consider (can't wear legs and boots).
