Thread: Question about 12 points?

How much is needed in + skill tapes to get 12 points, and how do you tell you have that 12th point (Just see it when you experiment?)

+10 = 1exp pt. So you need +20 worth of CA's to make 12pt's.



And yea you see the 12pts in the Experiment scection of armor crafting.

So a standard master only has 10 exp points to get to 12 I need another +20 experimentation. Thanks for the quick response!

Yep that's how it works. Unless you loot the skill tapes yourself, prepare to pay top dollar for the skill tapes.A friend of mine recently got a+11 tape and i'm trying to get the last +9=(. You wouldn't think two mere points would make a difference but it does.

I also have master shipwright and looted +10 engine experimentation, which started me thinking about what I would need for master armorsmith. I would think I will pay 1million per point right?

and consitering you can make just as good of armor with 10 points.. your just wasting your money unelss you can get the stuff for free..

Wow, it may be that way Post-CU but 12 points were difinatly needed preCU. Yeah, you might only be able to put 8 points into protection, but the other 4 went into HAM reduction, or now, condition!


It's the same thing with weapons... so what that you already maxed out damage? How much were you able to drop speed and/or SAC cost??

12 point smiths can get anincrease in condition, also very helpful in creation of PSGs. It's not AS important now, but still very helpful

A 12 pt smith can make slightly better armor - as in a few thousand points difference in condition.

It's not that spectacular.


However, when it comes to PSG, the extra points can make a huge difference.

But how many PSG's would you have to sell to get your money back?
