Thread: Did anyone else notice resists dropping on the first experimentation?

I'm working my way up through armorsmith and last night when all the new content was added in, I figured I'd take a look at the new armor to see how it went together and how it looked when made. I only have 5 experimentation points currently so I wanted to see how high I could get the kinetics.
I'd get a great success on the assembly, and a great success on the experimentation, but the kinetics would DROP by 2% (I had one piece drop 4% on an amazing success). After that first try, it would act normally.
Anyone else see this with the Ithorian Guardian armor or anything else?

Hi,
I have this phenomenon om the padded armor I make. My first base experimentation on the final assembly drops the kinetic special protection value (using kinetic layers here) from 30% to 26%. After that it climbs back up to as much as 40% with the rest of my 7 points experimentation. It is weird because without this drop my kinetic value could be as high as 46%.
I think this is inherent on padded armor only. I haven't seen it on chitin and ubese.
I wonder if it is a bug or if it is supposed to be like this.
