Level6 Droid Armor modules require the addition of a Composite armor segment ...
Last night I had asked someone to craft non-crated, non-experimented, non-advanced Composite segments made with junk resources for droid armor...
The first person told me they would cost 15k a piece. !???
Fortunately the 2nd person I askedwanted 2k .... But I'm wondering what isacceptable fortime spent?
(BTW I made a droid for her with a clothing/armor crafting station + 7-slot item storage, and she still asked for 2k each...)
Thanks

Even at 2k you got ripped off imo, only takes 10 metal and 8 steel to make a non-advanced segment.

You have to be aware that buying segments like that, you arn't paying for the materials really. You're paying for the smiths time, and when an armorsmith is making 15m a week or some crazy number like that, their timeprobably rates pretty high.
If I were you I'd bring some sample resources and have them make you a schematic, and then you can make your own segments in a factory. ie: then all you have to pay for is the initial schematic. And if you explain you're a DE and all you need is an unexperimented non advanced grind quality segment schematic for a droid then I'm sure most armor smiths would be happy to make one for you for a reasonabl fee. (I'd do one for free, some AS's might, some might not)

I make schematics for free if you provide the materials. People are always happier to make things for you when you provide the materials.

15k!!!! What was that Armor Smith smoking? I don't even want to know how much he charges for a set of comp.
If all you wanted were non-advanced segments with no care for resistance, I'd say maybe 100 credits per segement because of the time I'm taking to make them. Or if you just wanted a schematic made with materials that you supply, definitely free, cause that takes mere seconds.
Don't pay mind to my prices though... I think I sell my stuff for the second lowest price on my server... for the quality of my stuff anyway.

ya should have been an even trade if you gave them a droid.
Do favors or trades all the time with people. Just easier and faster at doing something, unless you were looking for about 100 com seg by hand, ya that would take a while and a schem would have been easier to do.

I've tried that before, and never heard a word back from the DS. Then again, never knew what I was going to do with it.

if you get me to run a set for you in my factory i'll give them for resource cost.. ie. like free... honestly.. you shouldn't be charged for that, esp if you provide the resources. and there is no reason you can't use factory made stuff.

Even though I'm also a DE, I will make a factory schematic for anyone who asks as long as they give me a sample of the resources they want used in the factory run. I normally charge 10k for my time, but if they buy something I waive my usual fee.

Most people I've made schematics for won't leave without tipping me like 10k... some people are just nice like that.
