Only because I like Padded so much, I wont bother to post the link stating that this isnt a trade forum. Each server varies drastically when it comes to armor, and that would be the best place to look for advice. Even on Chilastra, the range is 200k-700k a set for similar stats.

Well it is more resource intensive than composite, but i cant justify charging more than comp for it.. I used to charge 60k for ubese 70k for a suit or padded and 125k for a suit of comp. that was long ago though,, like last year about this time : ) Now i would charge about 200-225k for a good suit which is about what i charge for comp,, when i sell armor, havent made any in 4 months

Ohh btw you can make padded light buy going with 0-0-0 4% 4% layers with the right resources and and using more exp on the durra. Ive made suits about 30% resist with just about 400 ham The slice it.. it becomes nice light weight armor and looks great. If you go for the heavier type with 80% energy or kin the ham goes through the roof and is acually about as heavy as stun composite or heavier if you can belive that..
Its wacked, you can go with a suit of comp with non stun comp with 80% to all, with effective slice,, and its about 150 ham lighter than padded which to me is light armor,, and has vuln to heat, acid and stun.. something is clearly wrong here

Well. Here's my current padded prices for FarStar.
Suit Minus Helmet/Belt - 165k
Suit Minus Helmet - 175k
Full Suit - 200k
That IS only my vendor prices though. For face to face sales and custom orders I
usually charge a bit less unless the buying is unimaginative ("I want a black suit")
also depends on what kinda mood I'm in

I make 80kin (or anything else normally in base)/51 base on ahazi and do custom only suits for 400k... Love our inflation. The encum is about 600 700 700 and condition is about 25k per piece. This is not very cheap, but I am one of the few smiths who will even make the armor and the only who can hit 80 on demand.
I treat my padded transactions the way a tailor would treat a custom fitting. I have a showroom set up with about 15 different padded color schemes (chest plates on the wall) and will make a sample chest or two from junk resources to show a new customer what their colors will look like if no sample is available.
So, the cost includes this service which takes a considerable amount of time. The excessive amount of high quality hides called for makes padded my most expensive armor to produce (followed by hunting armor). I make much more of a profit on composite, but I cannot justify selling my padded any higher since it has all of those vulnerabilities and a fairly high encum. I make it simply because I really enjoy this armor type, and I also want to blot out some of the composite clonage.
I also do vanity padded where i use junk resources and make suits with durability/encum experimented as much as possible. I charge 1/4 my normal fee for these suits.
