hi guys,
i am a new master on corbantis.... i have spent about 30m on resources (mostly top end stuff) and in the process of finding the extra 2point of experimentation.
so, i have the resources and will probably have the CAs within the next couple of days.
this has probably been asked many times b4 but.....should i make armor now or shall i hold out till CU?
thanks in advance

it was silly to buy resources now
my advice, go full steam and make as much of your 30mill back before the CU
others might have different advice

Nah Skinny dont say that. All of the core resources will still be the same. Bottom line...learn your profession. But be warned..smithing is a love. If you dont love it...move on.

Hey J-J, I'm sad to lose a customer but welcome to the club anyway
I don't think you wasted any money on resources because so many of our top resources are useful for weapons, so they should hold some value even if they become useless for armor.
As for whether to start producing and selling now, vs. waiting for CU, I guess it just depends on how you feel.
There's still a market for armor so I don't think you'll have any problems selling it, especially if you pick a niche market. That'll keep the cash flow going as well.
Finally, it'll give you experience with some of the tricks of the trade... although we'll all have unlearn everything and start over again with the CU anyway.

If I were you, I'd try to get some armour out ASAP that caters to the FS grinders and the uber-looters. With the CU (presumably) putting the elite MOBs out of the reach of soloers, the elite PvEers will be spending every waking minute slaughtering NS Elders and the like, and many of those who are grinding out FS XPare probably doing likewise with everything that moves.
My guess is that elite PvP armour won't be shifting much prior to the CU, but cheap 80% Kinetic grinding armour will be moving well, particularly if you advertise for that market. Looters follow the trade forums, so you can expect to get noticed if you have a catchy thread title and price your armour competitively. If you can add a little stun resist without wasting any of your best resources, that's always appreciated by the Elder-botherers, because it can be the difference between "Oh crud, that's a stun baton! /burstrun" and "Oh crud, that's a *choose closest cloning location*".
In short, you can still sell armour, but don't burn up any resource to the point that you'll be left short once the CU hits.
That's just my guess, of course. Good luck

Yep, that's what I'm doing with my alt right now, going to all those places I've always wanted to see. Selling off all the armor I had made and waiting for the CU now. Doing customer orders also. Just been hard to log onto Elood lately though, just want to hunt before I have to group for anything stronger than a nuna.

I'm in the same boat as you ATM. What I did was hand craft, test, and learn over the past few days. I put the single parts up for sale on my vendor and I have been selling a few parts every day. Good luck.
