Thread: CU and AS vendors

this occured to me, and figured i would post it here in AS forum before i did in TC forum, do you think well still be using vendors or is armor going to turn into custom order. i mean now we arn't going to be factory running out 100 suits of 80% kin/elec 70% base armor or whatever. now we have energy/kin, kin/elemental energy/elemental kin/energy/elemental ext. there are so many options now with how to set up armor are we just gonna make one suit of each and put it on a vendor or have one vendor set up with our name and send tell for armor? also if it does turn into order system then the most popular as on each server will get all the action. new AS (i'm new having a very hard time getting people to buy my armor anyways even with a vendor and hte new galaxie search. maybe that's because no one is buying armor in awaiting of CU) will have no one to order form them and slowly die out. i dunno if this makes sence it's 5am and i can't sleep and my brain isn't working so i'm out.

Venders will still be needed after the CU, cant imagine selling armor without them. With the number of armors and resistance its gonna be hard for one AS to make them all which is why some galaxies are forming AS Unions. I suggest keeping your vendors stocked to a minimum and wait for the CU. Once it hits wait a few days and see what the new fotm is and gear your armor to counter it.

Has there been any recent mention of coloring kits? If we could make and sell those, that would solve some of our problems stocking a variety of non-factional armor.

I do small time AS business and i use vendors, just fine. I don't use factories for any comp armor, i make everything by had and i need a lot of vendors... it will be fine

Furia and I were kicking around the idea of stocking one type/one color per class in our vendors. Then in another vendor (or 3) stocking unfinished cores. These cores would cost the same as finished armor (maybe +5k per piece). Then the customer could bring the cores to either of us to be customized.
As it looks now, there are just too many possible combinations to stock.

It may be a good oppurtunity to have certain AS's specalize on different types, and work together with other AS's on your server to send people to the right spot to get the armor they need.
