Will stats matter on organics such as Wooly and Leathery Hide for armor in the Post CU? I have been saving my High OQ and SR organics and starting to think that selling them might be the best way to go prior to the CU if this rumor is true. Any ideas? Thanks.

I hope they don't go worthless. Like others, I've literally spent millions gathering the top hides. Starsider recently had a "best ever" leathery and I ended up with 300k+ units of it, and it wasn't cheap.

With the solo group nerf, I don't see how a pure combat character would make money without hide as a commodity. Unless the intent is to increase the loot whoring. Grind GEO cave over and over until you get bones then head to the trade forum. Is that the future of the economy? Once again I'll point to the casual gamer not being able to keep up in that situation.

Crafting since Publish 5. I'm holding on in hopes the Armorsmith profession gets the love it deserves. I prefer the pre-CU system, crafting and combat. I would also like to see decay and hide gathering reinstalled into the game, as well as some epic Recon, craftable of course. And make being 12 point important again.

It's still unknown.

It is something I've been assuming and it doesn't really bother me even though I've spent a fortune on hides/bones like most other AS.

I also assume hides will still be needed for the skins, so it will continue to be a way for lower level players with scout skills to make money, not to mention good stat hides should still be required for Chef and good stat meats required by Chefs and Docs.

Usage of organics is unknown. However, there is plenty of room for their being used in segments and the various cores. I will not be unloading any of my good stuff.

you should check the ranger forums, they are currently getting shafted in the CU so i'd hang onto your organics because i don't think there will be much getting harvested after it kicks in, that is if you can find a ranger willing to hunt or one brave enough to try considering they get no health bonus for scout/ ranger even at master.

Many rangers are up in arms based only on speculation.Most of the stuff the whining is all about is unknown as long as elite professions are not yet avail on TC

And they did just add a perk for rangers, having them in a group increases your resource gathering from creatures.

i read it off of another thread. i wish i could post the link but i don't remember where exactly. i just remember it kinda shocked me several minutes after reading it since ithought ofhow much i paid for my uber wooly and leathery hide. that's why i came here to find out if it is a rumor or not. /shrug
