Thread: Dev's dont take the silence on this board as approval of your changes.
I think they've made armorsmith MUCH more accessible to the average player. All you have to do it put out armor with > 6000 protection and you've got something which beats Inate TKA Armor. Break 7000 and it's better than Jedi's armor.

I disagree Saieko. I think AS is much worse off than it was before. I don't want any old guy to be able to slap some resources together and make uber armor. I want it to be challenging and actually take a bit of know how, instead of dumbed down point and click.
I'm firmly of the opinion that the voice that cries the loudest now, is the deafening sounds of silence.
AS sucks now simply for the fact you cannot distinguish yourself and anyone can now make the best armor as long as they have the resources.
I hate this game now and i hate the devs for changing a game i loved to play for 2 yrs...i can see now how easy it was for annikan to become so hateful so quick ![]()

Hmmn. 8 or so months after dropping AS, I made the decision to come back. I was collecting the neccessary resources for the trip to MAS when the Dev's decided to allow a crafter respec.
I must say, AS is much, much different than it was before the CU changes, but for the life of me I'm not seeing where its any better or worse than it was. It is different, so much so that it will be some time before I actually put out saleable product as I experiement with the new system, but worse? I just don't know yet.
The named resource list is a kick in the butt, I'll agree, but due to my packrat nature and my inability to not harvest a good resource whether I needed it or not, I find myself in the lucky position to have many of the new resources in excellent quality. I can understand the AS communities anger, however, at having a vast majority of their resources invalidated due to the changes made. It seems almost vindictive in nature to destroy the long months or years of work AS's spent collecting resources.
Like many aspects of the CU, the AS changes are in need of tweaking. I can understand balance and all that, but changing required named resources is absurd and does nothing but anger a large community. I've new hope, having seen the Publish 17 tweaks, that AS will see improvements in time. So much needs doing all across the game, so I'll hold out hope that we'll see fixes before Publish 20.
