is it possible with janta hides or kryat segemtns or something to get 80% then get a 25-30% slice and hit 95-100% base resists? just question from a possible armorsmith. sits back in heat resitant suit and waits for flame show

No. Cap is 90% base.
what he said. Even loot armor seems to go by this now. However early in the game there was no cap and some loots and stuff made with nice krayt segs did go over 90base and might still be a few around if CSRs havnt found them yet since a 100% peice will never decay

Yeah, early on I saw a few 100% resist peices, think it was exceptional Krayt segments that made it possible. But yeah, there was a cap added later that limited crafted resists to 80% and sliced resists to 90%.

Because armor decays based on the amount of damage that passes through the armor, not based on the amount that it blocks. So, assuming nothing gets though, nothing will decay.
Of course this is assuming you have 100% resists accross the board (composite). If you have say 30% stun resist, then any stun weapon will cause the armor to decay. And correct me if I'm wrong, but if stun was a vulnerability, and you have 100% base and special electric, then it will never decay by anything.

I think its funny that players can have even remotely close to the % of high level NPCs and things like Krayts.
