Thread: Marauder Armor Question

I'm sure this has been asked but I can't seem to find ANYTHING on this.....


For those of you who beta'd the CU....remember the Marauder RECON and ASSAULT armors? AS could craft them. Here we are, several publishes later and STILL no schematics or anything for them....WHY NOT? Why give us something in CU-BETA and remove it for Live? I still get people asking about this.

They're saving it for later so they can introduce it and call it content for crafters.

Also it would solve some "skins" problem:


recon

. Marabari: who wants to wear THAT, seriously?

. Tantel: the only way to get a +350 health bonus.

It's like RIS and BH crafted armor for us pistoleer/smuggler/rifleman ... hum really? ... yeah with avian bones!

. Ubese: amagod an ubese! so original (cf. composite)


assault

. Chitin: well if you love to look like caveman-biker it's your problem

. Composite: /yawn a compo! so riginal (cf. ubese)

. Crafted BH: great add for the skin, thank you


Limited choices for "civilian" armor isn't it?

Seriously we need those marauder recon & assault skins we had a chance to see on TC-Ep3.

Our customers need them badly too, specially the recon marauder now that Crafted BH is in live.


PS: as a smuggler/armorsmith I am expecting soooo badly my future recon marauder

You have no arguments here. I just have a feeling we won't get it until they screw something up again like they did right before tossing us the BH schem and feel like they need to toss us another bone to appease us.

At least all the recon stuff was taken from the movies. That's one thing it has going for it.

what about bone armor? its got the noob factor, but with the same protection you can get some nasty surprices when you get whipped by a pile of bones

Lol! Bone is my best battle seller right now. I have a set on display that has a black and yellow trim on it. I put a segment above it's head and called it "Scorpion" and it sells like hot cakes! Who would a thunk it?

I dig the bone, too, especially with the trim we can add to it. Never had those colors in the artisan days. With the current color bug, bone is relatively factory-friendly to just run in its stock colors.

How many use Marauder Armor for hunting Jedi?
I found some Maruarder Armor with 7K energy resist, 5K everything else.
Anyone have some good experiences with this type of armor?


I plan to get it AB sliced but before I do that I would like to know if this armor is decent against a Jedi.

Generally, any armor with energy resist higher than 7000k will be good. There is widespread division on whether or not 8k + is actually better than 7k + armor. Sure, you get an extra 1k resist points, but because of the sliding scale percentage, some argue that it's not worth the monetary expense.


I use 8041 Energy Resist Scout Trooper armor, party because I RP, and mostly because it's the highest resist I've seen. I'm a subscriber the notion that ANY gain, no matter how small is still worth the investment.
