One of the better AS on my server is claiming it is possible to convert a suit of armor into any other suit of armor (just once) with a conversion command..I am inclined to believe him, however I wanted to double check. Is it true, and if so what is the command?

click and hold on the item then a "refit" option comes up. this is of course only after you have the CU on your server.

Also you can't convert it just to any other type. You can only convert to the base types. So if you convert to battle you can only choose between bone and padded. Conversion to recon is mabari or ubese. Conversion to assault is composite or chitin.
The conversion stats ignore any special resists, only base % matters. So that means that really only composite and RIS convert decently (unless you actually want lower resists to get the lower hindrance).
Also, RIS and Mando can't be converted this way.
