Thread: Huntables Specifically in Cores

I've been doing a bit of preliminary research from my customers and from the results have a few further comments to add to 'organic requirements are too high' arguement. My 3 main points are as follows:

1) It seems to be the opinion of most AS that 45k of a specific type of hide for a full run of Cores is too much, in my opinion, altho this is probably true, with the types of creatures each can be harvested from (Dant Wooly, Lok Leathery and Naboo Bristley) it is 'livable' with the Wooly and Leathery, but not the Naboo Bristley.

2) My research suggests that the most commonly used armour will be Battle Armour. In addition (or perhaps the cause of this) more professions than any other are certed to use Battle Armour. Naturally this means the type of Armour we need to make the most will be Battle Armour, which is the one requiring Naboo Bristley. This compounds the first problem further.

3) Altho I haven't had too much time to test the combat side of the CU, from what I have seen players are effectively 'being nerfed'. Basically compared to the current combat system players kill mobs slower. Now I am not familiar at all with the scout/ranger/harvesting side of things in the CU and if they have been altered much at all, but for the purposes of this post I will assume the size and harvest levels on mobs remains similar to they are now, and therefore hunters ability to gather hide will be drastically reduced, thus they will collect less hide in the same amount of time as before.

4) Reasonable to assume that if huntables are harder to gather in the quantities needed the price will drastically rise, causing Armour prices to skyrocket even higher than has already been predicted.

In conclusion:

- Hide requirements for Armour have been drastically increased
- The hardest to gather type of the 3 Hides we need for Advanced Cores is the one required to make the Cores we will need the most of
- Hunters will actually be gathering less huntable resources than before the CU (assumed)

I can personally live with most of the resource changes that have been made, but for me the hide requirements in Advanced Cores are quite a large problem. Ideally I would want both the amount required to be reduced (to me 25-30k seems reasonable for a run of 1k) and at the very least I would like a change to the specfic type of hide needed for Battle Cores.

It has been suggested that making the hide 'non-named' would be better. Thats one solution. Another to combat the problem of the hardest to gather hide being used in the most common Cores would be to switch the hide requirements between Cores. My research suggests that Recon Armour will be least used, so could Bristley be used for Recon Cores and Leathery be used for Battle Cores instead?

In an ideal world I'd love to see all 3 changes made, lowering the amount needed, removing the 'named' requirements and swapping Bristley for Leathery in the Battle and Recon Cores but in my opinion just one of these changes would be a huge help...and the more the better.
