I lost a whole set of armor (9 pieces) and 2 pistols yesterday while trying to repair. After the first 3 failures I almost quit but decided to see how far it would go. So I TRIED to repair everything I had been wearing. The only thing that did not fall apart was my undershirt. So I started looking thru all my weapons to see if any needed repairing also and found 2 psitols and guess what .... they fell apart too!!!! And the bad thing is the items were not damaged all that much AND I was using 99% repair tools. Good thing I didn't have anything else to repair or i would have lost everything. But like I said I was curious to see how many times I could fail before I actually repaired something. Loosing the items is not a big deal as I can easily replace them but is this another sign of the CU or just plain bad luck? Anyone else had issues with repairs. And yes everthing had been sliced pre-CU.

I repaired a chestplate and a helmet for a customer, both was at 1xxx/39xxx and dropped to 34xxx.
So not every repair attempt fails. Perhaps it's because it's sliced.
Armor was made by me post CU, not sliced. Used 99.9999 tools.

I just repaired four pre-CU armor pieces that I'd converted. Got three lowered condition and one minor blemishes. About the same as I got before the CU I guess, even though I didn't try with enough items for the test to tell anything solid. I used 99.8% Tools.

Repair in SWG, especially for armor, is a complete joke. If I remember the numbers correctly you get a 20% reduction in the maximum condition if you get a "minor blemishes". As a result I refuse to repair armor for customers. Though I will give them free 99.9999% repair tools. The funny thing is that the results non-armorsmiths get seem to often be better than masters get.

I've noticed the same thing.... I thought it was just a coincidence, but my combat-oriented alt that has no artisan at all seems to have much better luck repairing armor and weapons than my crafter. You'd think it would be the other way around, and for quite a while, I insisted on letting the crafter fix the armor because it just seemed logical that he would have a better rate of success.

Then I realized the error of my ways.... I applied the term 'logical' to something related to this game.
