As it seems right now Slicing armor results in "This armor has been altered by a Smuggler..." (Sliced) but the PROTECION isn't increased.

Made the the experience wih a full Clone Trooper Armor suit + Padded Armor Pants.

I put all slicing on hold until this is fixed.

This happened to me the other night with my Reb recon armor. At my next log-in, which was several hours later, the stats were properly altered, showing the slicing effects.

That happened to me too...I made a full suit of Quad Layered Scout Tropper Armor...Everything got a 8% slice, no stats changed so i figured it was another bugg which had to do with just not seeing the change, when there really was a change, so i dropped em, when i logged back in the stats were put back properly the way it should be

What I've found from talking to smugglers, and my own experiences is that slicing does work, but the stats don't show until your next login (I was told next day, but I see it on my next login).

So tonight when I get home from work, I'm gonna slice a pile, log out, and see what it looks like when I log back in. Previously, I've only sliced a few pieces, bitched about it, and logged off. I did see the changed stats on my next log in (after I went and got a bite to eat) however.

My other character is a smuggler and I've also found that the clone armor can only be sliced before it gets bio-linked. Once bio-linked, the slice option doesn't show. Not sure if that's intended or not.

Aye the slice bug with the misreporting has been going on a while now. When I first noticed it I put in a bug report as well as a post in the smuggler forums. Though next login doesnt work actually. It's easily tested since i keep switching from my AS to my smuggler toon a fair bit when I'm slicing armor suits etc. Also I've had the stats adjust themselves afert just a few hours of being online while the suit was in a house on another plannet.

Best example I have is I sliced a suit, stats wernet reporting properly so I /bugged it. Went off to check out kashyyk day it opened (And incidentally this is also the very same day this bug appeared to my knowledge). Came back about 3 hrs later checked the suit just for the hell of it to see if i'd have to open a ticket on it and... hey look at that. It was reporting properly.

So either way it'll start reporting properly just not at first. Weapons interestnigly enough do not suffer from this issue.
