Thread: Appearance schemes: do resource stats matter?

I've tried making various tyoes of armor ranging from adv. cores to unlayered segs. I've tried nearly every resource I have at one point. I'm short of nothing but 1 or 2 resources in high quality stats.

My question is: Has anyone noticed any difference in using average resouces when crafting the final appearance scheme? I tried using the best hides and metals vs. great hides and metals and I get no noticable difference from the stats in my cores.

Does this mean that the appearance scheme resources don't change the stats of the final craft stage?

the only thing resources in the appearance combine will affect is the condition of the armor. they won't change the stats of the resistances.

I'm pretty sure experimentation at the appearance stage of the crafting process is for improving only the condition of the armor.

It only affects condition, but it is a pretty big difference. Unexperimented you might get 20k condition, experimented to 90% you get 46k.

I concur. This is from memory, but I tried to save some of my premium hide at around 950/900. So, I swap it with to a hide about 900/650 and saw the condition drop close to 10k.

Don't forget all appearances use DR/OQ/SR now, which means some hides that are just okay OQ/SR might be great for appearances.

It is amazing how much a difference there is in condtion when you use subpar hides..... but I it will still sell, you just have to do it cheaper.

yep...don't remember the stats, but the DR was comparable between my two hides.
