Thread: Health Enhancers: what went wrong here?

Tonight, I was putting together a +350 assault suit for a customer. The makeup for the head and legs were +15 per core, and for the chest, +10 per core. Peko feathers of +20 each were used to complete the pieces. This should have gotten each piece to +50. The bonuses were achieved by using segments of 10, 0 and 0 bonuses in each chest core and segments of 7, 8 and 0 bonuses in each head and leg core. (They were, of course, run through the factory.)
Instead, the head and legs came out to +35 and the chest was +30. It seems what happened was that during the final combine, the game decided that 10 + 10 + 10 = 10 instead of 10 + 10 + 10 = 30. I am 100% sure the feathers were all 20, and I'm 100% sure I used the 7, 8 and 10 health enhancers. It should've added up. (My arms, with handmade cores, came out just fine at +50 each.)
I'm going to sleep on it and make really darn sure that I didn't screw it up somewhere, but as it stands right now, I'm pretty darn sure I didn't.
If this is a bug, is there a workaround other than trying to hit +30 in all the cores?

This is working as intended - health enhancersfrom identical coresdo notstack.
I'm pretty sure this is the way the game treats any schematic where identical components are required - like when you craft a weapon with e.g. 4 +190 tissues going into power handlers and don't get a weapon with 760 more max dam.
Check out the guides in the stickies, there is some pretty good advice on how to fully enhance armor.

Yup, arms will come out fine.
But the segments used in the legs, head, and chest do not stack.
In other words, you needthree identical +30 cores andone peko feather to hit +50 on a chest piece.
Threeidentical +10 and a peko will only yield you +30.

Ouch. And I thought I'd done my homework. :/ What a waste of enhancers. At least they drop fairly well.
Thanks, guys. Luckily the customer is real cool, and I have schematics to replace the parts.

Assault health enhancers drop fairly well? I have a killed a bunch of rancors and kimos and not got any assault enhancers at all. What do yuo hunt to get them?

aye bermag, for some reason its been really hard for me to get assault enhancers from kimos as well. I remember it was fairly easy to get enhancers from kimos, but now i find that i have to kill lots of them.

Not sure about rancors, but you get the kimo health scales from GDK's only, not any other kimo,and only at about of a rate of 1 in 30(if that) real pain in the ass for assault enhancers =/

Are you sure? I thought that was GDK scale sfor RIS?

You're talking about a different scale.
There are 2 types of scales GDK's can drop.

Well, that's what SoulHunters is reporting.
I haven't been out hunting GDK for quite a while now so I dunno.

in the past, i've found it easier to loot "kimo scales" from non gdks. For me, GDKs hardly drop anything, except the occasional gdk scales, some cores and some enhancers. But It doesn't make sense for me to kill any other kimo except the GDK. <--- if that makes any sense.
