Check out Tuanga's RIS helmet. I can't get into imagedump from work, but IIRC he used acid and stun layers. A very nice piece of work indeed.

Don't be concerned about the HAM. The layers used were 100% base from the one day patch, but that meant that they were also 15/15/15 on the HAM. 45 points of that encumbrance is from the layers I used.
I also chose enhancers that raised the base instead of dropping the HAM. It's not really my preference, but the folks on my server generally couldn't care less about HAM. As sad as it is, I give them what they want, even in show pieces that will never be put up for sale.
