I was wondering if there is a cap on the amount of expirimentation u can have. When im a master armorsmith im wondering how many armor expirimentation tapes im going to have to buy to cap. Or isnt there a cap? lol

There is a hard cap at +25 armor experimentation, but there is no reason to go over +20. Each +10 on tapes gives you an extra experimentation point, so the extra +5 you'd get at the cap of +25 is useless.

Actual, it's not pointless, just not worth the cost of the tapes...
Every skill point you get, improves the odds of getting an amazing success, and reduces the odds of a crit failure on experimentation.
but that having been said, that last +5 won't make a large difference, certainly not worth the cost to get them

Umm speardancer think your thinking of armor assembly tapes.... those are the ones that allow you to get better amazing sucesses... the experimentation tapes just allow you to have + experimentation points to place into your crafts....

You can get crit fails on experimentation and assembly. Having the extra +5 on expt helps to avoid crit fails duriing experimentation and also increases your chance of getting an amazing success durinig experimentation. Assembly bonuses work the same for the assembly (initial combine) roll. As stated above, there is a point to it, but few think it is worth the 5-10 million you will pay.

And if thats true your aying you would cap out at +25 giving you only 2 more expirimentation points to play with? Are those 2 points even worth it if your a master for the money u spend them?
Remember there are 3 stages to making a composite piece. Layers, segments, then the piece itself. So really, you have an extra 6 points along the way (2 extra for layers, 2 extra for segments, and 2 for the piece). That makes a pretty big difference.

It makes a huge difference. Maybe not if one just makes one run of 10 suits, but after enough the tapes will pay off. plus, they are an investment and will grow in value anyway.

Correct. Master w/ at least +20 exp.... ie. 12 points to craft with.
