your first goal should be 80% kinetic.. the difference between 79 and 80 is phenomenal (not in its effectiveness but whether or not people will purchase it) they seem to look for 80% kinetic first. Try making some suits of 80kin/50ish base and sell them for much cheaper than what armorsmiths are selling the top notch suits for (80/70ish) on your server... you will sell them very fast Also... you shouldnt waste time with stun unless you're going for 30's in it or people arent intersted

What type of Segments did you use? Sounds like you used Regular and not Advanced Segments.

What were the Segments stats?

I do alot of 4x4 Kinetic meaning 4Kinetic Resist 4.5ish Base Resists turns out some nice 35% Base Segments for me to make some nice armor..ur sounds like you used regular segments honestly..or your resources suck

I made master today, and i thought for my first try at composite, I would do stun...

I used a

3% Stun 4% Base 14/14/14

6% Kinetic 4% Base 16/16/16

4% Kinetic 4% Base 13/13/13

It came out

68% Kinetic

63% Electric

4% Stun (I just aimed to remove it from weakness rather than make UBER stun)

57% Base

HAM 78/75/80

I would just like an opinion on my first try Thanks

i notice that most armorsmiths create STUN helmets rather than entire suits, and tend to sacrifice on the base effectiveness of the helm in order to push up the stun effectiveness to 40+%

is this b/c stun is only to head damage? or is this just some erronous thought process that lead to the creation of such helms?

This was using advanced segments.

If i used my best resources i could have gotten 60% base

If i make layers with 4%base 5%kinetic should i hit 80% kin?

Use 3 layers..max out your Base bar and you should be able to..depends on your resources though...if your resources are not up to par you may fall short

but if like you said you can only get 60% (i'd assume you have tried) with triple layered stun that means you'll need 20% Kinetic on your segments...which means 6.6% Kineticon your layers... Only way to really figure this stuff out is to play around with it for a bit

I did some tests on PSG + stun vuln armour, PSG = Stun armour and PSG alone. Using a stun baton I found that there was no difference in the damage between using a PSG with stun vuln armour and PSG with stun armour. I also found that stun vuln armour reduced the damage of the baton which I presume is due to the AP0 weapon and AR1 armour.

In conclusion I and some of my pvp friends will now opt for high base stun vuln armour with an Imp PSG. maybe use of stun armour makes more sense in large battles where it's harder to predict the opponent you will meet but my suggested combination seems the best option for small fights.

Anyone else tested this?
