Ok I have read countless how tos on armor creation, and no matter what combo I try I cannot get a Good high kinetic Ubese armor.
I have good resources most over 850 in OQ,SR, UT,MA.
I start by making a kinetic layer schematic. usually fully experiment Special protection to 12-14%
Then base as High as I can get it.. Don't have the actual #s in front of me at this time but will add them later. Think base is 2%
Then I make my Ubese segments.
Experiment Base fully, and then add special protection with the points i have left.
Then when I make the actual armor I experiment Base fully again, and add remaining into special, and one into durability.
I end up with 33%base, and 35% kinetic.
This seems awfully low considering what else I have seen.
Any help to alter my methods would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

You are right it's low kinetic, but doesn't base seem a little high?
In other words, kinetic is a special for Ubese... experiment on special in all 3 stages and only put excess points into base once you've maxxed out the special line.

Thank you. I have seen so many discussions on this it all has washed together.. lol
What base should I expect to get once I fully experiment the Special.
I was under the assumption that the special would be X% higher than base. so if it is 14%, and base is 50% then the special would be 64%
I see by my experiments that my asumption is incorrect, but what is the correlation between the two?
Thank you

That's the way composite works; electric special (natural to composite) is added to base. But in most (all?) other armors the natural special stands on its own. Specials that come from layers will still be added to base (except in the bizarre case of Tantel), so for example if you add a 12% energy layer to Ubese then your energy resist will be in special and will = base% + 12%.
As for what base to expect it depends on your resources of course. I would guess the norm is around 20% - 24% base, with the 24% coming from 12-point smiths. Personally I make 75% kinetic with only 16% base because I throw the extra points into durability. I prefer to have higher condition on the heavily hit Ubese jacket rather than a measly 4% higher in resists that will rarely be used.
