i made what i thought was gonna be some great armor. Stun layered tantel.

Well when you layer anything other than energy it locks the layer and your stuck at what ever % that layer is. Soo Basicly energy is the only layer you can use Why bother even letting us put in a layer and just change the exp on it to match everygy layered tantle,., how the hell is gonna make non layered tantle anyway??

If we could add any layer and be able to raise it thorugh experimentaion it could be one of the best arnors in the game after teh revamp.. which is why i asume it is only 3 pieces and why its in the game..

After rewatching Return of the jedi it did look like lando had some kinda tantel bicept pieces, not sure what the leggings are i wonder if this could be an upcoming limited use schem..

Is this a broken experimentaion or is this just very poor planing and making armor with less ways to make things..

A 50 eergy 50 stun 15 base armor could be really cool. or a heat, or acid, or ken could make this amror much more versital and have the added effect of adding varretiy, besides medic crafting armor is the most borring prof.. /tell Je'Cy "DO you make Composite.. for now my answere is No

the max i've gotten on tantel with very limited experiments is 27% Base which with a slice can get into the 30's never tried a stun layer but the Energy does not stack on top of base so no reason to assume stun would...

I believe that Tantel is actually supposed to be vulnerable to Stun, as well as a few other things. I posted the vulnerabilities that the Devs told me that Tantel is supposed to have just prior to the stat shift fix. For some reason when the stat shift bug was fixed, rather than being transformed into an armor with 3 or 4 vulns, Tantel was transformed into an armor with zero vulns. This is most likely a bug. I can either a) push for a fix to tantel that will allow layers to stack with non-vulnerable damage types, at which point the 3 or 4 vulnerabilities that Tantel is supposed to have will be almost certainly be restored, or I can b) not request a priority fix on this issue, in which case Tantel will most likely continue to function the way it currently does.

My inclination is to pursue option b. There are other, much more important things that the Devs can spend time on, and to be perfectly honest, I don't think that Tantel is particularly overpowered the way it functions now, especially given that its resists are fairly low and it covers three parts of the body. The result is, unfortunately, that most layer types will not stack with the base resistance of Tantel.

But it could be. Imagine if you found an exceptional NS layer. If you get something in the 30-40% base range (which Ive seen on more than one occasion), you can make a 60%+ base to everything, before slicing. So, it could be overpowering, but you'd need insanely rare drops.

Not really, just equip your T21 and blast it sky high. (NS layers wont up the energy special protection)

I'd rather see the armor work right, and have them done with it. it's nice the stats don't shift anymore, but it still doesn't work right. Have them fix it the way they want it to be, so that we armorsmiths know what to do it with, and how to market it!

have a feeling it's another one of those "wait for the combat balance" issues tho *grumble*grumble*

Im going to stick by my assumption that a 40%energy 70-80%base vulnerable to nothing helm/bp/boots could be considered overpowering.
