Thread: Question about slicing Stun Composite

I've managed to make a 66% base, 40% stun composite chestplate and I'm wondering if it is therotically possible to slice 66% to 90% base. Yes, I do plan on making like 50 of these and hoping that one of the will come out perfect so I do know the rarity of good slices. The layers I am using are 3% base, 12% stun and the adv seg is 30% base, 40% stun.

2nd question, how low generally can the elec be on the segment to assure 80% elec on the final craft (13%, 15%... )

Last question, why do chestplates consistantly craft 1% base lower then their other counterparts. Is there something I can do to remedy this?

Thanks for all of your help!

1. No. Lowest base that will (theoretically) hit 90% is 67%, with a perfect 35% eff slice. However, 35% are incredibly rare, so you pretty much need 68% base to even have a chance at it.

2. Electric % on the seg is added to the final base %, so whatever gets you to 80% (ie, if final base is 66% you need 14% elec on the seg).

3. Resources on the chestplate are weighted a bit differently than the other pieces; namely, the ratio of beyrllius copper is higher than other resources. Depending on the quality of your beyrllius it may make a difference on the final stats. One way I make up for this is to use higher quality wooly hide.

#3 - You can also add Janta Hides to your armor without adding to the HAM. Base janta hides will reduce the % needed to get "perfect Comp" to a 30% slice.
