ok im off on my quest for ris comp armour again

im gonna ask an as to have a stab at making me some zero (or very close) ham gloves/bracers/biceps but the base resist has to stay high obviously....whats the best way go at it?

i thought of couple ideas

1) two ris layers, one ns layer, ns shard

2) two ris layers with all experimentation in the ham, one ns layer, janta hide

anyone done it before...what the best plan of attack? and what sort of %age layers/hides/shards am i gonna need

There is no big problem to get 0/0/0 , using good NS shard ( without RIS layers). The problem is hight base , so you need NS layers with really hight base -I think it's the most important part.

Based on my research it would appear that you would need somewhere around -30/-30/-30 shards in order to accomplish this. Also it looks like roughly 9% NS layers would probably get ya to the base you want as well.

giving you roughly 80%kin/80%base armor with 0/0/0 hams or close to it. Obviously the quality resources available are also going to make a big difference as well. You will need to use 3 NS layers(9% roughly) and a shard with the above stats or better in order to achieve the 0/0/0 hams with maxed base. Keep in mind this also leaves you with the stun and acid holes. You can add a stun layer but would need higher stat shards/layers in order to get the desired results if that were the case.

if you look through the recent posts you should find a thread with a full suit of incredible RIS, under 200/200/200 hams and pretty much all 80%/80% armor(oh and this is still unsliced). He gives the recipies he used for each of the pieces(cept gloves/bracers etc... which he stated are basically the same recipie as his boots).

Hope that helps. I'm working on a simlar suit myself though I don't expect to be under the 200/200/200 mark I do expect to be close to it if I can find some good shards.

I used 2 RIS layers maxed on encum and the rest into base, 1 NS layer (think it was a 9%). Also added a -10/-10/-10 NS shard, just for testing.

With this, I ended up with 0/0/5 on encum and 68% into base. So you see it is possible to get it, just need to use better shards.

Sounds like RIS layers in comp segment.
