Thread: Converted interwoven RIS vs RIS crafted after CU

So far what seems to have the better stats. Coverted interwoven RIS or RIS that is crafted after the CU? Plus what will become of the interwoven RIS schematic after the CU? Will it only be good for a decoration?

Thank you,

Shammus

No and yes.

Crafted R.I.S. with CU-rules is far better than the converted stuff. But you have the option to dismantle old R.I.S. so you dont lose any of the 3 drops and can get your pieces remade with CU stats.

Just my test comparison from TC5:

converted R.I.S.

Condition 39940

Kinetic: 5160

Energy: 5160

Elemental: 5160

Hindrance -34%/-34%/-34%

already sliced

crafted R.I.S.

Condition: 90674

Kinetic: 7365 (6929 before slicing)

Energy: 5155 (4719)

Elemental: 6260 (5824)

Hindrance: -38.7%/-38.7%/-38.7%

sliced

So what does 90% Base RIS come out to be? Anyone know yet?

From the sounds of it even that should be broken down and rebuilt.....Do we get our attachments back in the breakdown or is that another thing that gets lost to the convert gods?

I don't know if I can break them down with the attachments I have in them and ADK's

Bah! Damn CU...

I saw the Rage of the Wookies demo's @ CIII last weekend and let me tell you....I hated every min of it lol. The SOE reps there - wow I just felt dirty after hearing them talk about it! Those guys/girls should just quit and get jobs at a used car lot because they would make a fortune there The planet looks pretty cool....its now in zones instead of go anywhere...but it had the horrid taste of the CU all over it. The cybernetic limbs were in it, and wow did they look stupid.

The only thing interesting I heard was that there is a space dungeon now....so you have to fight your way in space to an asteriod that has a base in it...where you get to play the ground game when you land there. They are finally adding come ground/space activites - too bad they made the ground game to horrific to play anymore

Ares what were the stats in that converted RIS before it was converted - was it interwoven RIS and how was the encumberance.

I have a none sliced 75/77 interwoven sub 250 HAM full suit and I'm dying to know if CU is gonna nuke it or not.

There's no difference between the two. Whichever has better base will convert better.

The one I used was 90% base = 5160 Apoints

Even easier. Dismantle creates the new R.I.S. layer. with that it is just one more crafting step to a new R.I.S. piece.

As the previous posts in this thread mentioned, base resists and condition are the only things that matter. Interwoven vs. regular: doesn't matter. Encumbrance: doesn't matter. Special resists: don't matter.

90% base converts to 5160. Condition stays the same.

RIS made after the CU will have higher resists and much higher condition, so no matter how nice the pieces were before CU you will be better off breaking them down and having new pieces crafted.

Yep my whole interwoven suit turned to junk.

So much for 'good armor before CU will still be good after CU'

My 80% base low encumbrance unsliced RIS suits have now 33% encumbrance and 5048 resists.....that is worse than stormtrooper armor is now. This is a disgrace.

That suit had 300-400 encumbrance total before the patch....what a waste of months!!
