The new Combat Upgrade just ruined the best video game I've been playing for over 2 years.

I used to have freedom of how I wanted to play Galaxies. I could choose to craft my armor, or go out and fight enemies or hop into my ship and dog-fight till I dropped. Now after the Combat Upgrade, I can't go out and fight enemies because I can't wear ANY armor in the game AT ALL! I can't craft my armor anymore (at least for a LONG while) because of the INSANE amount of resources needed and the time that it now would take to make even the most basic sets of armor. I'm not going to pay you $15 a month to SHOP for resources! And how am I supposed to make money to BUY what I need if I don't have any combat ability and can not sell my armor? At least I still have my space battles...but I'm not going to pay you $15 a month to fly in space either!

I am an Armorsmith in the game. The amount of resources that is needed to make the best armor in the game is way too high. Too many varied resources are now required to create the different armor types. I'll be spending the majority of my time just LOOKING for everything I need to make armor sets. My Armor SEAS are now useless. I'm not even going to go into all the credits that I've spent aquiring my Armor SEAS...and now that worth is GONE. My RIS armor is another victim. Months and months of work and MILLIONS of credits are gone now because NOW I can't USE my RIS armor because I'm not playing the "correct" profession to get the ability to wear the armor! What total BS! Why limit the choices of armor you can wear...or totally remove the ability to wear armor at all, just because you made a choice of profession??

I'm a Master Marksman...and I can't use ANY armor in the game!! I have combat skills and can't wear armor! Think about that for a second! Now, I can't do any fighting AT ALL! The amount of skill points I have is tied up in my Armorsmithing and Jedi training and I do not have any left over skill points in order to aquire an elite profession where I can then wear an armor type. No good at all. You've succeed in denying me access to a HUGE part of your game! I don't want to be a combatant all the time. I want to have the freedom to choose how I play this game and right now, that freedom is taken away from me.

Please read your forums! Read what you are doing to your players! I just signed a petition against the Combat Upgrade and it's ALREADY over 10000 names and growing. I think that says that this upgrade is wrong. Why aren't you listening to your customers? WE DON'T WANT THIS UPGRADE! We never did! Put things back the way they were and tweak THAT to make a better game. I can't believe that this actually went live.

If things do not change within the next two weeks, I'll have no choice but to cancel my account. I don't want to do that! I LOVE GALAXIES, but the old Galaxies, not this broken mess that I'm trying to figure out right now. Please listen to your customers! We know what we want!
