Thread: No longer able to get faction armr from recruiter?

Sorry if this has been beat to death, but I cannot seem to get Marine armor from the recruiter any more. I assume that you ArmorSmiths craft it now. Am I right.....Thanks

yeah, we buy it from the recruiter as a schematic, well several (one for each peice), then we make it for you 
costs us like 20-30k fp for the schematics and you 5-9k fp to put it on.

Also, just to clarify a bit, the schematic we buy from recruiter now is just for the "appearance". The expensive armor segments and cores underneath are the same as all the other armors and crafted by the armorsmith
Just want to make this clear, because I had someone last week want to make a deal for 4 full suits of faction armor in trade for the FP to buy one set of the schematics. FP would be a fine trade, even though I'll make less on the deal (because I can get FP for myself a lot cheaper than a trade rate of say 100 cr. per FP), but you still have to base the trade rate on the price of the suit because the primary costs to the AS are still the layers, segments, and cores.

Basically, I need a left bicep from the Marine armor to complete my set. I have no intention of wearing it as I will go neutral once I complete the set....Do I have to be a reb to accept it from an AS? Thanks again

No, anyone can buy any faction armor. You just can't bio-link and equip it unless you are correct faction for the armor.
Finding single pieces might be difficult though. I still only sell full suits because it's painful getting schematics out of sync.
