Thread: Giant dune kimogilla spawn points
I think the kimo loot dropping is borked atm.
There have been other threads in the Corbantis forum anyway to that effect.
A friend tried to get some Janta hides and ran like 2 dozen missions and not one drop.
Seemslike craftable loot is borked atm.

I looted kimo scales maybe 1 week ago (pre pub 17 but post CU). Got a stack of 8 after killing perhaps 5-6 kimos.
I got scales on friday - or maybe saturday.
Got 7 ifI remember correctly.

i have been able to loot some scales from the one in kimo town but they are very rare. for the most part i have gotten advanced armor cores with pretty good stats but they dont help any cause we still need the scales. as for the spawn neer the valcano ill check it out because i have had a couple other people tell me about that. i'd like to thatnk those who replied to this string for the help you have ofered. if anyone else knows of other spawn points or has any idea why i am having trouble getting the scales please let me know.
p.s.- what is up with that npc cas... does anyone know why he is there?
also on these kimos we sit out there for 2-3 hours at a time with a spawn rate of 20 min and we havent looted anything for the past few nights accept for the aforementioned battle cores
About a week and a half ago, I got two drops out of four kills from the one at Kimo Town, since then, however, I'm 0 for 40 or so on that one and the others in southern Lok. In my experience... I've had them drop about 1 time out of every 20 kills, if you count both pre and post CU. Granted, to get a truely accurate drop number, you'd have to probablykill THOUSANDS to find out what the accurate drop percentage is, but I'm guessing it's somewhere around 5%. With a rate that low... you WILL have times where it seems you go forever without getting lucky, then.. BAM, you get a couple. I've had it happen with Black Sun on Yavin too (pre-cu).... over 100 kills, no BH armor, then.... back to back drops. /shrug
As for Peko Peko Albatrosses, there aren't any static spawn spots that I know of, but there do seem to be a few areas that I've found them moreso than others. The "hot areas" in my book are North of Theed, often along one of the rivers, southwest of Kadaara, near New Mandalore (on Corbantis), and at the bottom of the cliff that runs across Naboo from east to west (around 5000 North on the coordinates). Prior to the CU, Peko's would often re-spawn when you killed one, but I haven't had it happen yet after the CU... you just get that one, which is a pain, because these things are hard enough to find, even for a ranger.
