Hello all. Though I'm no longer an armorsmith I can't turn a blind eye to the profession I called home for over a year and a half.
On guildchat earlier I heard a couple people report that the cheater suit has returned, and that its Chest/Helm/Legs. Unfortunately one of my new professions is TKM, and the only other person I could find was also TKM (the guy reporting it and the rest were in space) so I have not been able to go and verify.
I remember seeing someone post about doing armor hole testing. Is it possible with the latest publish that cheater suits have returned? Just asking what you guys think until I can find out what all the people reporting this were wearing and doing some testing myself.

The chance for an unprotected hit with those 3 piecesis just 8.25%. (1st run distribution is 33% head, 33% body, 33% legs. 2nd run is 75% chest, 6.25% on each arm piece).
So even a combat logshowing a 'large' number ofhits going throughcan mislead the inacurate observer
. The sample size to be sure must be at least 100. While testing the armor hole on TC-Ep3 weeks ago I had a row of 33 hits before the first hit came through with this 3 piece configuration.
I suspect that things are the other way round and that the armor hole is back for combined chest pieces: Mabari, Ubese,...

what would be the advantages outside of just wearing less or having to buy fewer pieces? no real advantages that I can think of. this is only a problem if smiths start selling 4 piece suits again. we can nipp(nipp with one p is prohibited content)this in the bud and not sell 4 piece suits.
