Thread: duno about you but.. Im tired of the 6k base caps

To be honest I am glad (from a general players point of view) that they have these caps on armour. 90% armour was a major player in the problems that made the CU necessary, so to me having caps on protection makes sense.
I do agree that we should have something else to turn out spare skill points/resource points over to once we hit those caps tho. Quite what those are I'm not sure tho, perhaps built in General Accuracy/Speed Bonuses perhaps?

they stated the cap was 10k, but then gimped us getting there
if 10k is only 60% resits, I don't see any game breaking issue with us getting primus battle over 6600, and that extra 0.1% resists or whatever itt would actually turn out to be

there seems no real reason for people to buy over 7k except the prefectionist coz teh returns are set so low. people would pay for 6% more resists but shrug at 2% or 0.whatver

I don't mind caps set by design ... I DO mind HARD caps, where they say, "no matter WHAT the formula says, you're NOT getting better than this". If they want to cap something, they should work the formula so that the best (and having seen resource gathering and storage at work, they should understand all that implies now) resources give you the chosen cap!

I don't mess with layers....just not worth it to me.
On my Recon, I was able to lower the resource stats on the coreby a little over 500 (OQ+SR totals). Still hit the max.
Not many goals to strive for anymore in armor crafting.

Man I have in my power to make 8392 Kinetic Assault and 8388 Energy recon but NOOOO I just get kicked in the nads from the 6k base cap.
My assault cores are 7992 kinetic ( 5867 base) but the final pops out at 8125 Kinetic 
My recon cores are 7988 energy ( 5873 base) but the final pops out at 8115 energy
All this power and yet SO limited!!, And im not even 100% on everything. Like 94% on layers, 97% on segs, 96% on cores.
honestly I think special should get the full +400 on final when useing layers... that or raise the base cap to 6500... sheesh, so anoying and dissapointing. Its like you are penilized for haveing the most uber resources and pushing the product to its max. I could probably drop 1 layer out of each seg and STILL hit these numbers.
anyone else anoyed by this?

I couldnt figure out why I wasnt getting +400 on my battle cores
/shrug
yea it sucks
seeing that we cant hit 10k, they might as well remove caps for base stuff
