Hello

I see in some shop base Stun special 38% and base eff 90%, of course nice slice.

Btw some armorsmith said me that I need items like janta hide or cubes of geonosian lab and so..

anyone can tell me exactly how I can make that ?

thanks

You can use geo lab cubes in armor?

It is theoretically possible to make 38% stun/90% base armor, but it is extremely difficult (or requires some darn good janta hides, but finding those is pretty hard too). If what you're seeing is 38% stun/90% base with a very low encumbrance (total suit value lower than 700 or so across all three lines), it's almost certainly made with an exploit and I would be very intersted in hearing more details (you can pm me if you don't feel like posting to the board).

If you are getting for instance 60% base when you:
in layer: all points to special, then durability
in segment: all to base then durability
final combine: all to base, then to durability

Then it would be very possible to make this a 90% medium encumbrance armor with alot of dedication, some lootdrops and great slices. By adding a 7% hide and a superb slice for instance.

Aye, but you wouldn't be able to make a 90% base/38% stun medium encumbrance armor.

More than likely its double sliced. We had a few armorsmiths making 63-64% Effect/36-8% Stun and selling 90% Helms made from the...Double sliced stuff They banned his smuggler and I heard they have removed it but am not sure on the latter.

It could be armor from the one day change. I could make 43% stun, 70% base comp that day. That will slice to 90%. Currently I make 42% stun with 66% base. Throw in janta hide and you can get that up to where it will slice to 90%. I probably could make layers that would do 38% stun, and be able to get the base to 69% or better.

That is well and true, but again, the important thing to look at is HAM, certainly, it is possible to do this with loot, or with the 1 day changes, but

1. Either way, HAM will still be way up there. No way you can add 3 12-13%Stun Layers, and not have some HAM cost, even if you are a 12 pointer.

2. He can't make these forever....even if he did have the 1 day crafting stuff to make 3000 segments, that is only like 20 suits. If he is throwing up hundreds of suits, I smell a scam.

Ask for an unsliced suit, or at least the stats on an unsliced suit. If they are where they should be, then it isn't a problem.

well i made a 32% stun 80% electic 77%heat and sliced it to 90% all others but got there using rancor hide and i know there are 4 things in special protectin but i cant remember the 4th maybe was energy all i know is i have 90% kin in the base list it was at 72% before i had it sliced the reason for getting 4 things in the special protection area is the rancor hide! I also heard tell of some (exceptional) rancor hide 16% to base effectiveness friend of mine looted 5 pieaces which would make you a chest!

But good knews guys i looted some (exceptional) padded segments gives me +70% to base on padded armor so i should get an easy easy easy 80% base padded armor and then slice it and i should have very low ham because i can experment mostly on enc! If anyone is skilled in padded armor crafting please pm me if you have any idea on this i have 8 segments and i dont wanna make a mistake lol!

I don't remember ham being anywhere in the original posters question here. He was asking if you could have 38% stun, 90% base. There was no mention of HAM costs. I was simply pointing out that it could be done. Also triple layered stun with 13% layers really doesnt' have to be that heavy, I can make helms that are 39% stun and 285 mind ham.

Oh and also, with 3000 segments you could make 142 suits, not 20.

Right, I meant 3000 layers (which would reduce to 1000 segments) which would then reduce to 47 suits. Very poor math on my part.sorry.

What i was referring to was the HAM issue that Jaato brought up with regards to this being a possible double-slice issue. I agreed with you, it is possible, but probably in limited amounts, andthe HAM costs would have to be high. Even with 8/8/8 weight layers, you are looking at 504/504/504 HAM just for the layers alone (they add in at 1-1 to each segment, just like the resists), not to mention the addition of segment and piece HAM's. So you won't see this suit in lowHAM unlessit had been dual sliced. This is why Jaato said a suit cost of 700's would be very fishy.

Either way, a peek at an unsliced version would tell the story.

FYI...

The reason Stun layers don't get that high in base is because of the "Resources Gates".

Crisim Siliclastic Ore has a very low SR gate, hovering around 100-200. If you see one that is 150+SR, you better mine the crap out of it. It's about as good as you're gonna see. That's one of the main factors in why Stun Composite Armor isn't as high as Kinetic Composite when it comes to Base Effectiveness.

Sorry this is not hte main reason. THe main reason is that with 1000 perfect resources you would get ur stun layers at 15% which would make you armor 45% stun. 15% is the max for any layer. That 45% is added to 0 because composite is vun to stun. But when you go to make anything else , that is all built into the base. So this means that it adds on to the base because say your base is 65% and your kinetic layers are only 5% then you are still going to get 80% kinetic. Taking that same example, if your base is 65% and your stun layers is 15% and your segement is 45% Stun, then you would start at 0 and add 45% and come out with a 45% stun and 65% base. Basically when choseing stun, you either need to choose high base or high stun.

**THESE EXAMPLES ARE UNDER ORDINARY CONDITIONS!! THEY DO NOT INCLUDE ENCHANCEMENTS or ENCHANCED SEGMENTS!!**
