Backpacks and contents no longer count as 1 item. This might be ok for those with space on their vendor. However, this also means you can kiss goodbye any deliveries you normally get from suppliers. Wanted that nice factory run of synth cloth?? Sorry, thats 41 items, and you can only get offered 25 at a time by a char( and that's IFthe tailordoesn't stock the bazaar with anything). Wanted that backpack of scales that hunter just looted on dantooine/tatooine/etc etc etc? Sorry, they can't offer it all to you at once. It will destroy my delivery business. My tailor supplies several chefs and armorsmiths with factory runs of components. Now I can offerHALF a run to ONE and hope they buy quickly.

This doesn't even address selling suits together on vendors/ bazaar. Backpacks are just going to be yet another item against your count, when bundling items for people.

A factory crate of anything, i.e. synthetic clothes, will still be 1 item.

yes, but it takes 40 crates to make a run You can only offer 25 items to a vendor/bazaar at a time.

I swear they do not even think what any action will have into the game as a whole. Maybe they will bump up the 25 item limit to compensate for this.

Maybe I'll just start asking my tailor if they can just make a schematic and drop it and the resources so I can use a factory of mine. I could get a little cheaper supplies that way I guess since they won't be using up any factory time of their own...

Wish they would make the synth cloth 1 crate of 1k, instead of 40 crates of 25. Too easy of a solution though.

Funny thing is, if the devs wanted to HELP merchants this will kill it. Like I'm going to sell 25 pieces of armor to amerchant, wait for them to buy it, then sell 25 more pieces to them.. PFFT, right!!!

It'll be a little cheaper, but you will also have to eat 36 hours of your own factory time.....

Oh I know...it's only 1 solution available of many. I could use 2 Tailors instead of just one and have them both do half a factory run, I could try to meet up with my tailor and do a trade window trade (which is a pain since we seem to never be online at the same time), I could buy 1 set of 20 one day and wait for the other set of 20. But really all this adds is frustration in trying to deal with another profession class (SWG is supposed to be known for depending on another class not trying to pack all of the classes you need in one character)

Instead of trying to fix the core problem (storage), they just nerf thepractice (bags being on vendors as storage)

Someone wanna point out to me how BP's & crates are different? Both are containers, both instant an item when pulled. I want to see ANY item count ie 25 Control Units count towards the total etc. THEN see the outcry! This is simply a way to reduce the already pathetic inventory count we are being subjected too without any intelligent consideration by the SOE support staff.

Uh? A backpack doesn't instantiate an item. A backpack contains 50 unique items. A crate doesn't contain anything at all, aside from a counter that says it can create 25 (or 10, or 15, or 5, or 100) identical items.

There is a *huge* difference here. So I don't really get your meaning in this post?

Mad.

ps. I agree on them still being totally clueless about that actual problems, though.
