whats best to level armour crafting with (the fastest) until you can start making useful things?

Mabari Armor Chestplates if money no object. Just make 2-3 full runs of syn cloth from a factory and 1-2 full runs of Mabari segments and sit down and craft yer way thru. Should take abt 2-3 days of grinding.

Most cost effective way is to get to Personal Armor 3 asap and then move on to Ubese Shirts. Easy to make and not nearly as resource intensive as crafting Chestplates all the way.

mabari until Ubese If your going for Master smith and arent worried about cost. AUK if you are unemployed or enjoy point and click adventures.

Although all armour is usefull (if only as a fashion accessory, black mabari makes a nice TIE suit), so grind what you enjoy, or what people wish to buy.
