I've always wondered this, but never tried.... just wanted to see if other smiths prefer using hq fiberplast for their cloths, or if just any old resource will suffice.
thanks, oslo

I've always been told it doesn't matter, but never tried using better myself.

Back in the day when I had to walk uphill barefoot to my factories and you could experiment on rfp's, fp's and synth cloth several of the armorsmiths I worked with swore they got better numbers from my fully experimented cloths (we are talking 1 or 2 percentage points here not a huge difference but still nice). I should also note that was back when most people couldn't find, didn't have or hadn't had spawn the materials for adv. segs. After the removal of experimentation from most tailor items it didn't seem to make much difference at all. So I'm not sure. With the advent of wookiee padding as a component and the stats included on it I'd have to wonder if it will again make a difference.
I should also note that this was before I picked up armorsmith last september.

They don't have stats on them so they do not come into play to create better armor.

Note: The padded segment for wook armor DOES require experimentation.
