Is it possible to make padded armor that can resist heat, acid, and stun? All I seen seems to always be vulnerable in those 3. What is required to make superiorpadded armor? thanks.

Advanced Padded needs cubirian steel and it's been out of shift for really good qual for quite a while. Also yavin wooly.
Yes, it's possible to get 2 out of 3 of the resists, but they would be single layers. I've made 34% Stun with 48% base recently with 2 stun layers. Only 2 out of 3 because Padded only takes 2 layers, unlike composite that has 3.
Padded is awesome and has low ham. I look forward to making more in the future.

If you're desperate to get all three you could use a rancor hide in the segment along with a stun and acid layer. Your resists won't be too thrilling, but you'll be rid of the vulns.

Low HAM? Padded?
Unless they lowered the encumberence in a patch this is untrue. Padded is allmost as heavy as Composite with 10-20% lower base and with vunerabilities. Thats why you never see it in game exept as a 'for looks' armor. The palet for paddedis NICE!

Layered padded armor is kinda heavy but it looks wicked awesome.
The usefulness of it really depends on who you are fighting and what template you have. Some people can easily use 50% armor 1 on 1 with buffs.

I have found that padded armor is a great alternative to Ubese. I can get the kinetic above 70% easily with the resources I have. It has better base protections than my ubese (like energy) and it is lower HAM when compared to comp.
It fills a great niche for people who are hunting critters and find themselves getting pot shotted on occasion from you local thung/nightsister.

I definitely do not agree with Padded being as heavy as composite.
There are a lot of things you can do to help lower it as well.
Since most of the armor doesn't require factory runs, it is VERY easy to put NS Shards in the Adv. Segs and get the HAM super low.
It's possible to do that with any armor actually...I did it with comp even...although that took me 4 hours.
You can definitely use Rancor Padded Armor segments, but then I have noticed the HAM costs on those go up quite high.

This is why my kinetic Padded sells fast. 75+%kinetic (running neck and neck with my Ubese) with 47ish%base (17-20% for Ubese) and LOTS of colours to choose from. For the appearance thing, I keep lots of Tantel helms on hand. Not as high in the resists, but looks heaps better than the Padded thing.
My personal armor for 90% of the combat I do (PvE) is mint green and lilac Padded with a lilac Tantel helm *snicker*

And just how are you managing to get 34% stun on padded armor using only 2 layers? Max theoretical special protection value on a layer is 15% (in reality it's lower than this on stun layers due to resource gating).
Did you figure out some magical method to make 17% stun layers? If so I bet you are making 51% stun composite.
(yes, that's sarcasm)
