Thread: Question About The Different Armors
Armorsmiths:
As far as armor goes (taking into account both the availability of resources to craft and it’s potential for protection) which would you consider the most economical and most efficient armor for a new player who just stepped off the boat and is looking to get her feet wet?

You will probably never sell anything besides these 2 types, so you might as well start working towards them.
I heard a rumor that CH/BE's like padded, but still have never seen any wearing them.
With the prevalence of Buffs in the game, and how cheap they are, the HAM costs of Composite dont even really weigh into the equation.
Spoken like a true comp/ubese clone, who has never crafted a set of armor outside that template.
Look, for a new player, who PvE's MABERI is your best bet. It is a highly disposable armor that will allow you to fight most low to mid level mobs.
The reason you don't see everyone running around in padded, is because ARMORSMITHS aren't making it, not because it won't sell. I have 5 armorsmith characters on 5 differnt servers. ALL have crafter maberi/ tantel for cash. a couple of them now specialize in maberi armor. I have NEVER has a set sit on my vendor for more than 12 hours. EVEN ON KAURI. On kauri we have at least 3 mastersI know of, selling maberi, and none of us can stay stocked long.
Unlike ubese's 150k price tag, or composites 250k PLUS tag, maberi can be found from 3k for low end to 20k for high end. What's more , it doesn't set your ham back enough to require buffs while playing. I rarely get buffed anymore. I buff for high level missions ( the few I do).
I made my first 15 million before mastering my first, selling maberi armor. I made 50 million AFTER master, also selling maberi, before I ran out of bronzium iron. It's easy to make, the organic requirements are low, and the experimentation is very forgiving. Since only 1 segment is required per part, any enhancements you use will go far ( and you don't have to worrry about serial numbers). Enhancements can double the price you fetch per suit, but doesn't cost nearly that much.

I'm on Kauri and just a 7 pointer but I make mabari and chitin like MAAAAAD. It sells as fast as I can make it. All the time.

My favorite line from a clone is: Mabari? What kind of composite is that?

Thought you were master, sorry. Make that 2 masters and 1 well on her way to master
Yes, that's correct, any BE enhancements in the tailor sub-comps (Syncloth etc.) will not carry over onto the armour itself. And no, to the best of my knowledge, there aren't any suits where those enhancements do carry over.

one more question, it is my understanding that be tissues placed in the optional slots of fiber panels will not carry over the stat enhancements to the armor itself... is this correct? or is there a suit that is capable of handling this?
