I hear this term thrown around, but i honostly dont know exactley what it means.

Im pretty sure it means you have 12 points of experimentation to play around with when making items.

What i want to know is, is 12 the cap? or can noone simply find a way to go beyond that?

How many points is a master armorsmith with no mods from items what so ever?

And how many points of experimentation does one need in skill tapes and items to become a 12 point smith.

And just for an example, if someone with no skill tapes made a suit of kinetic ubese with no attachments using the best materials, and someone with full skill tapes and mods made a suit of kinetic ubese also using the best materials, what would the difference be in resists?

Dont you guys remember in Return of the Jedi when Yoda said to luke
"luke, you must kill 1000 ewoks to become l33t !"
or
"Luke, the force is only to be use for knowledge and defense, never for attack, unless your slaughtering defensless ewoks for force crystals"

Hi,

you are right. 12 pt AS means 12 pts in experimentation.
A normal Master AS has 10 experimentation points.
You can become a 12 pt AS by adding skill tapes to your clothes.
Armor Experimentation +10 = 1 Experimentation point that is added (10:1)
So you need as many skill tapes as you need to get to +20.
AFAIK 12 points is cap, yes.

The difference between 12 and 10pt AS in Ubese Armor should be the Base protection I think.

typically ubese from a 10 point smith and a 12 point smith have the same kinetic protection

the 12 point smith usually has a much higher condition on peices and it is much lighter

with composite a full suit of comp with similar resists can have 300 or more lower HAM for each pool with 12 points
