Thread: RIS query -- Feeling like a complete idiot...

Hello, all.
I am feeling pretty stupid for asking this question, but maybe I can be forgiven as it's 3am. 
I am looking for information on the RIS quest. The sticky at the top says to refer to the RIS faq, but I can't seem to find this, as it's not stickied. I am very nearly ready to go out and do my quest, but I'd like to know what's involved before I go out there and do it. Any help would be great, and please don't hurt me too badly if I'm missing something glaringly obvious.

I might also be able to spare a couple of woola bones and Gurk hides..
The drops have been really nice to me lately (18 woola bones in maybe ten tries)

[giggle] It's not the resources, sweets... well, except for those damned GDK scales... Just the quest info.

Sorry for multiple posts.
This is the post I looked at. Unless the RIS faq is far down the list, this isn't what I needed -- this is info on the making of it. Not the quest. I just need info on the quest. What it involves, etc.

love you need the resources stated in the other thread for each part
RIS Required Resources: (for the inquiring Armorsmith)
RIS Segment (9 required for a full suit)
160 Titanium Aluminum
160 Chanlon Intrusive Ore
75 Rori Fiberplast
2 Layers
1 Woolamander Harrower Bone Fragment
1 Reclusive Gurk King Hide
RIS Layer (optional, but 18 required for a full suit with RIS Segs, or 27 for Interwoven RIS Segs)
135 Polysteel Copper
100 Oridium Intrusive Ore
85 Laboi Mineral Crystal Crystalline Gemstone
1 Peko Peko Albatross Feather
RIS Boots (rest of the pieces have the same resource requirements, with varying required amounts)
75 Known Solid Petrochemical Fuel
65 Talusian Fiberplast
50 Chromium Aluminum
50 Vedusii Crystal Amorphous Gemstone
40 Platinite Copper
30 Rori Wooly Hide
1 Synthetic Cloth
1 RIS Segment (or Interwoven RIS Segment)
1 Giant Dune Kimogila Scale
So in all for the quest you need 2 woola frags 2 Gurk Hides 1 Peko feather and one GDK scale plus the above resources.
You go to the annoying little guy he gives you a schem you make it give it to him he complains and keeps what you make.
You have to make him
1 layer
1 Seg
1 pair of boots
DOnt waste your best stuff on this guy as he keeps your stuff :-(
Bring the resources/loot out there together with a crafting droid and you should be golden in a matter of mins

That's it? I just go pester the little man, make stuff he whines about and keeps, and that's it? Cool. And here I thought it was hard -- well, harder than finding resources I've never heard of before.
And here I thought it was hard -- well, harder than finding resources I've never heard of before. I retract my previous statement -- I probably will need resource help. I am doing well gathering the other stuffs- ironic that I have more feathers than anything else, while technically I won't need 'em that much in the long run - but some of those resources sound odd. I only know of one of those that I have for sure, the rest, probably not. Time to get to shoppin'!

It's no longer 3am.
I've re-read the initial post of the clickied post three times, and all 7 pages of it as well.
The initial post lists the ingredients quite nicely, lists the wp for the little man for the quest, and says to "Please refer to the RIS faq for full details on the quest."
I think I was pretty clear in saying that those details, i.e. the "RIS faq" mentioned, is what I was looking for. I'm glad the resources are easily found in case I lose the paper I scribbled 'em down on, but it was the actual quest process I was confused on - nobody'd ever told me it wasn't something drawn-out, so I had been assuming it was going to wind up being something like a series of missions of some sorts. A quest, really. 
Estei, is it just me, or does *nobody* have any GDK scales on Kett???? O_O
