I am trying to make triple kenetic layered composite with High secondary resists
My question is does experimentaition on the segment effect
the kenetic resists on the final armor
and if not would you recomend that i experiment on the secondary resists
or on the special.
Encumberance is of little concern for me becuase most people including myself need to be buffed to wear composite anyways
Thank you for your Imput

With a composite segment that has kinetic layers (or any special protection layer), if you experiment on the special protections all that will raise is the electricity resist. Your best bet is to experiment as much as you can on the effectiveness of the segment. This will raise the base resists of your armor which will also raise the special protections added by the layers as well. Any extra points you have leftover should be thrown into durability to get the encumbrance down and to add a little more to the max condition of the armor. The same
procedures should be used on final assembly as well.

I have recently bought a set of advanced composite with high resists, but also high ham costs. Now I cannot equip the full suit unless I first get buffed. I have migrated my secondarystats to their highest, and still am unable to equip without buffs.
Now is this common? I understand that there is a price to be paid for good protection, but is there a way to lower ham costs (slicing maybe?). Any help is appreciated.

you may want to check if it was sliced.
Many AS sacrafice enum for high %.

Yes this is common. High resists usually require layers. This makes it heavy. Even unlayered composite is heavy if not experimented on HAM which of course leads to lower resists. Your options are Spice, Buffs, Stat Migration, Food, Slicing.
Once you put the armor on, you can keep it on even when the buffs/spice/food wears off. Course I think all your secondary stats will be 0 or 1, but you can still wear the armor.

you can't go under 1 unless you are incap or suffering from a downer.

Yeah I'm wearing it right now, and all my sec stats are at 1 lol.
I don't want to ever take it off (unless buffed) because I won't be able to put it back on
It's funny, but a mind buff from a master musician is not enough. I also needed a muon gold to wear everything. Although that's fine, since I have no reason to take it off anytime soon. But atleast I know that the high encumbrance is a result of the high resist, and I feel better about that. Thanks for the help guys

I used to do 13% kinetic 2% base on my kinetic layers, then i realized most of the kinetic was wasted. I now make em 6% kinetic 4% base. With those I still hit 80% kinetic and my base is higher. Basicly you have to see what it takes you to hit 80% with your layers, just make your layer resist only has high as it needs to go.

So Ive finally began to make my first suits of armor after a month of collecting and began making a few suits of comp. So far I can get 80/50 armor and was wondering how people get 80/60+? Advanced Segments+Enhancements or?
Just curious as a Newbie Master AS

Resources resources resources, and watch that you are not overdoing it to get 80%, you might be able to scale down your layers/segments, add that to base and still get 80%.
