I'm a TKM/BH/Pistoleer and I have found that while my Ubese is great for melee PvE I need my Comp for marks and ranged NPC PvE. The problem is I don't want the HAM encumberance of my Comp helmet but still need some protection from the NPC headshots.
I seem to rememebr bone armor having energy resists as the primary resist and wondered what the highest energy resist that can be crafted on a bone helmet?
If it is 50% or above I would like to know how much someone might charge for a crate of helmets.....

I used 80% base exceptional segments a friend found to make some bone armor. As the base was 80% I put all my points into the special protection (energy) line. I got 26% energy.

You can do better than 26% energy. Without any special loot I made bone armor with 44% energy resist.

Hmm..I thought energy was the base resist for bone? What is the base then? 26% max on energy...bummer...can any other armor besides Comp have a high energy resist?

Get yourself an -interwoven bone armor schematic- from geo caves(ackley), most people throw them out or auction em for 50k. 80% energy resists are possible with resources.
