Well, now that Nightsisters are using various melee weapons again, not to mention that they are also using force powers again, I decided that a regular suit of 80% kinetic composite just wasn't going to cut it anymore. Basically, when it comes to fighting Nightsisters now, there are four different damage types that they can use against you. They are...
- Blast (Powerhammer wielding Nightsisters.)
- Electricity (Vibrolance wielding Nightsisters)
- Stun (Stun Baton wielding Nightsisters.)
- Kinetic (Any Nightsister not using one of the above three weapons.)
Thus, my goal for a suit was to have 80% Blast, 80% Electricity, 80% Kinetic, and 13% Stun.
The other thing I was concerned about was that Nightsisters are now once again using the force to drain your buffs. When that happens, if you're wearing heavy armor, you can pretty much forget about spamming specials. Therefore, I wanted to make sure that this special suit of armor was as light as possible. In order to accomplish this, I went out and collected a ton of yellow-named NS shards. Most of the shards I chose were in the -15 to -25 range, however some went as high as -42. In the end I had enough good shards to have 2.5 suits made. I had the suit made by Cabeza on Starsider, who works out of Braxis. For resourses, I provided him with all the best since launch. For layering,I had him gowith 1 Blast, 1 Kinetic, and 1 Stun. As for experimentation, after getting the four resists I was concerned about, I had him put all his spare experimentation points into lowering encumbrance.
In the end, all the pieces came out with the four resists listed above, and a base of 66%. I then went and got everything sliced. In the end, after picking the best encum slices from the twenty-two pieces of armor, I managed to put together a suit with the following HAM costs...
- Helm - 53/45/177
- Chest - 164/67/41
- Leggings - 69/125/49
- Boots - 37/39/36
- Left Bicep - 52/53/53
- Right Bicep - 50/60/67 (This is the only piece I didn't get an encumbrance slice on.)
- Left Bracer - 41/40/40
- Right Bracer - 45/48/45
- Gloves - 38/45/37
- Total - 549/522/545
Overall, I'm pretty happy the way everything turned out. The only down side is that when you fight Nightsisters, armor decaysreal fast. I'll probably save this suit only for special occasions, such as large group hunts.
As for all you armorsmiths out there, I'm guessing you could make some money selling armor like this, and marketting it as anti-Nightsister armor. Granted, you wouldn't be able to use NS shards in mass produced armor, but 80% Blast/80% Electricity/80% Kinetic/13% Stun is craftable without using any loot, and considering how many people like to hunt Nightsisters, I think you'd end up with a decent market for armor like this. (You could also market it as general anti-melee armor.)

Some nice ideas there, considering the amount of people who hunt Nightsisters, I think this will sell quite well. May have to try making some myself
With all the new NPC changes, using stun batons and jawa rifles, stun vulnerable (80% kinetic) armour isn't as useful as it once was.

Yeah had the same idea myself,
Ended up making myself a mini-suit of 80% Kin 70% base 5% stun with some NS shards to keep it light. It is possible to do 80% blast 80% electric 80% kin with a stun layer but it was more economical for me to do it without the blast layer.
Works a charm vs NS's, the 5% layer blocks about 60% of any stun baton damage, it'll be my standard NS bashing suit dunno if i wanna put it into production just yet, I'm gonna see if my regulars are interested in this kinda stuff before i commit to a factory run.
