What's my best bet as far as armor that will protect against stun? My fancy composite set doesn't seem to be doing so well..

You can get treble layered stun armour with about 30-40 in stun (depending on server resources) but since the layers will have next to no experimentation in ham or base, the rest of the stats wont seem so great.

Ive just put together some segments on eclipse for 37 stun, 62 base, 800/700/800 approx ham armour.

Interesting - wonder if any Gorath AS's are listening and would like to offer me a similar deal. How much did you charge out of curiosity? Was it a pain in the ass for you?

Well economies are all different server to server, but I charged 400k for the suit, the same price I charge for all my layered suits.

Its not a pain to do it, no worse than making any layered suit, but you need people who have the resources for stun layers, and since it requires two 'specifics' (i.e. crism siliclastic and vertex crystal gemstones) it may be hard to find anything which works well in a short period of time.

I'm wondering just how much stun armor is necessary...I got a really nice 31 effectiveness slice on a stun helmet so the stats are: 38 stun 70 elec and 85 base.

I'm thinking maybe just get a nice stun chest plate and keep trying till I get another decent/nice effectiveness slice.

Then maybe just go for high base on the rest of the armor and not worry about stun. I also have a few stun PSG"s

I don't really need to worry about fencers wielding stun batons, as I have some scout and terrain negotiation tapes and can kite them pretty effectively.

What do you all think is necessary for pvp?

for stun armor in pvp it is best to get as much as you can for a few reasons

stun shield gens like you have are also very much in order ^_^

1 jawa rifle = mind/head

2 geo pistol = body/torso (torso shot)(Body Shot(bh)) mind/head(eyeshot(bh))

3 stun baton = action/appendages (action Shot)

pretty much the only ranged profession without a decent stun damage attack is the carbineer, for the meleers more don't have stun damage but they have knockdowns (tkm) and Dots (pikeman) or just extreme damage (swordsman)
