Ever since I became a Master Armorsmith I have been trying to figure out how to come up with these awesome stats for comp armor that everyone else has on my server (Scylla). For the life of me I just can't seem to get it right. Bad thing is, the few ppl who have tried helping me have always shown me how to do it with THEIR resources. Is there anyone out there on the Scylla server who can come and help me try to get my stats up so that I can actually somewhat compete with the other armorsmiths on my server? I really do love crafting armor for my guild and for selling in general, but I fear that if I can't get my stuff together I may just give up the prof altogether. If there is anyone who can provide their much needed help in this please contact me here on ingame at the names in my sig. Thank you for your time.

Resources are 90% of making good armor unfortunately. You use the best OQ+SR materials you can find, then experiment the middle bar as far as it'll go on layers, (advanced) segments, and then the final product. Toss any extra points into the top bar. That's really all there is to it.

When you make layers experiment as much as you can into base. If you get the layers to 4%+ base and 4% kinetic you are on your way with the layers. Put the rest of the exp points into HAM cost.

When you make the segments you experiment to get them to around 36-36% base, this will give you a high base and will help the kinetic resists to reach 80%. Put the remaning exp points into HAM.

When you make the final armor you experiment into base and the special resists will jump up accordingly. The remaining points you put into HAM cost which will increase resists with about 1-2% more.

All of this is depending on your resources but by running some tests with your resources, making comp gloves you will find a nice way to make good comp.

I never exp into special resists, instead I try to make a high base armor and the turnout that I get when I craft this way is 80% elec, 80% kinetic and 71% base composite.

and in the end be patient sometimes it takes some month to got hte perfect combination of materials, maybe u cant start directly wit h composite, but how about Padded or Ubese there are many ways to get in business just give urself some time

I'm working on Armorsmith right now, and I have to say you are probably also a lot better off gathering all the materials yourself than paying the prices the resources go for.

Now when you talk about experimenting into base, exactly which bars am I experimenting on?

Keuller, thanks for replying with this answer. This helps out a lot. Never knew that I totally needed the best OQ/SR combo in my resources. Kudos to you.

Experimenting base is the middle bar (AKA Quality). Experiment this as far as it will go, every percentage point higher will help, especially in layers.
