Does anybody have a list, or can they point me to alist of: combat professions, their special attack target areas, and the profession's most favorite damage types?
Just trying to figure out what types of layering I want to offer to my customers outside of 3x kinetic and 3x stun. These suits fly off the shelves pretty quickly, but I'm not certain I'm doing anyone any favors by making them. I recently decided to trymaking 2x kinetic 1x stun for 80% kinetic and 13%stun with 64ish base to save on stun layer usage while still providing stun protection in my suits (and reducing the amount of different types of suits I provide). I guess what I'm getting at is I want to make an informed choice on armor layering.
For example,I know riflemen have an Ion rifle and that they like to hit the mind pool, so putting stun protection in a helm is probably wise. But how about the Chest piece...or the boots? Does it even make sense to put stun layers into the arm pieces? What areas does a fencer's special attacks target? I'll probably want to layer accordingly. This would allow me to make suits to defend against the fom pvp template for example.

Well as an avid pvper I can tell you if it doesnt have 40% stun or close to it I simply move on to another shop.
With the uber geo batons and stun pistols not to mention the rifles you are pretty silly not to have good stun armor if you pvp often imo.

That helps a little, if I had to guess, I'd say those two weapons you mentioned target the chest? Do you look for a full stun suit or just concentrate on certain pieces? I'd be interested in knowing as an avid pvper what pieces of your stun armor you end up replacing the most.

Some time ago smiths were making suits per particular specials, i.e., acid helms, heat chests and energy legs (not sure about legs). With the advent of Geo weaps and the realization of the usefulness of Ion guns in PvP, most smiths switched to stun armor with the highest base possible. The good PvPer will buy 3-4 or 5 suits of this type in hopes of a high effec slice thereby bringing the base as close to 90% (the max) as possible with only the electric resistence being left behind at like 76%.
Also because of the last patch which gave specials and weapons back to NPCs, The uber hunter wants this armor as well, those that solo NS, Krayts and Kimos.
I think the average hunter/grinder still wants to buy a single set with the standard 80Kin,70Base and take the slice that they get.
