Hey! I'm going Armoursmith too! All i know right now is you'll need a lot of rescources. Also, the guide to Armoursmith by the Armoursmith Corrispondant is very helpfull. If you need any other help, i'm sure someone will help more than i have

Definitely get survey IV. And read swgcraft every day. When something good spawns gather it, even if you don't need it yet. Also don't give up all your combat skills before you start. The organics (wooley & leathery hide esp) are the achillies heals of most MAS in this game. Get some scout and gather them now while you have the free skill points.

Like the above poster said. SWGCraft.com. Most important tool at your disposal. It can take months for good spawns of the resources you need, you have to be ready to stick with it and wait. Armorsmith isn't something you can dabble in or just sorta "have", to be any good you must watch the spawns and keep up with the good resources.

If you care nothing about waiting for good resource spawns, then you can spend tens of millions buying these resources from other AS's. The going out of business sales are always awesome.

survey 4 is highly overrated in my opinion

you just have to run around a little more, and big time armorsmiths dont have time to survey anyways, and pay other to do it

You may want to get some tailoring skills to make synthetic cloth, reinforced fiber panel etc. Otherwise you will need to buy these components or have a tailor make you schematics for them.
