I had an idea that I thought I would ask for some help fleshing out. My concept is to make the best bracer possible for holding AAs in. Thinking about how armor works (and I may be wrong so please correct me if i am), the higher the resist on the piece, the more damage the armor prevents, and hence takes. In my mind the ideal armor bracer for holding AAs would be something like:
Max Durability (for lifetime)
lowest possible resists (but eliminate vulnerabilities, I guess)
4 sockets
The question I have is how damage to armor affects armor condition.. is it the amount of damage prevented that is subtraced from the condition of the armor? If so the optimum armor bracer to use would have to maximize durability divided by resistance. So it's possible that comp isn't the best armor for this. Also I guess the best resources for this would have high OQ, MA, and especially UT but abysmal SR.
Any thoughts?

Actually, the way armor decays is how much damage goes through the armor, not how much damage it takes.
Which means, the higher the resistance of armor, the less damage that gets through, which means the lower the decay.
The main reason Ubese armor gets eaten up pretty quickly is non kinetic weapons ripping right through the armor. Because most Ubese armor suits generally only have no more then 20% base, the 80% of the damage quickly piles up on the suit causing it to break pretty quickly.
Now that said, the most long lasting bracers I would suggest would to try and find some awesome condition krayte dragon segments, they are usually very light, the resistance isn't the best, but slicable up to decent, and they last a helluva long time.
