The way i understand it, the only real beneficiary use of these is in RIS armor, no use in composite cause you can already hit 70% base, and even with stun...could probably do around 25% stun and 69% base i think. I'm not an AS, so i dont know a lot about it, i just wear the stuff
Can anyone throw an answer my way?

They can be used in comp to get the base to 80%, but as comp uses multiple identical segments for each armor piece it would waste a lot of layers.... RIS does not need identical segments thus they are much more useful in RIS....

so just to clarify...cause on shadowfire, our best sets are 80% special protections, and 70% base protections. i always assumed base protections capped at 70%, but they can go above?

80% is the cap on craftable armour. 90% is the cap on sliced armour.

Szero i just made half a set of 74% base comp with janta hides so if anice slice comes along they can get to 90% easily like a 20% effectiveness slice.

cause they have 0 ham...the crafted layers you use to get 70 base are like 14ish ham (?) and are only 4-5% base...so the nightsister layers give higher resists and make lighter armor.
