Thread: Loot needed to make 80% base eff comp armor?

I was wondering what kind of stats are needed on loot items such as janta hides and NS layers to make advance comp segments that would produce an 80% base eff piece of comp armor. AS are currently able to make 70% base eff sets without using any loot items in the segments.

Thx,

Shammus

Exceptional Janta hides, NS layers and Krayt scales maybe.

Forgot the stats, didn't read carefully, but i'd assume any that add up to 10% base will do the trick, right?

What is the normal base eff. of crafted composite layers?

5% on layers is impossible. They are capped at 4% as far as I know.

Some janta hide, NS layers, or Rancor Hide would do the trick, as long as they have at least 7% or more. Not sure on that number, my notes are on my ingame notepad, and I can't check that right now.

Cheers.

I have some 5% base kinetic layers Most can guess when they were made too.

Yeah, I was away for patch day, so I got screwed. I should have said, "4% Base is the max you can make on layers AS OF NOW."

You need a crate of about 5 -6 peices with 68% base or more. Just have them sliced and one is bound to end up in the 88-90% range.

If you are going for really low HAM costs, then you need to collect at lot of 4% NS layers or better, RIS layers, or crafted layers with NS shards.

The ideal layer is 4.33% RIS layers. They can be really low HAM and give a boost to the condition. Then I would go 4% NS layers or with a low stun/high base stun layer with reduced ham costs and NS shards.

Either way it won't be cheap. You need someone to make them then hope for a good slice. Just buying crated armor would be the best and easiest/cheapest route.

What?

Instead of going that way, why not just plug in some janta hide? You'll get the 80% base, and a chance to get it sliced to 90%, or if you get encumberance slices, your still fine because the extra 10% isnt really that big a loss.

Your way sounds alot more expensive and time consuming.

Nobody's mentioned MolClamps and PLKs? They can't be looted, I guess.

4.something %. I think 5 would be acheivable only if all the resources were 1000 OQ and SR.

So, if I used 4% janta hides and 3 sets of 5-6% NS layers it should get a base in the mid-high 70s with a low ham, right?

Thx,

Shammus
