hi i have loads of armor stuff like acklays and krayt stuff and i was just wondering whats the best armor statsfrom a AS i could expect with padded armor - im exploring all other routes then being a robocop wearing composite

Greetings, welcome to Aartan Ridge Armor Works 2800 5400 Tatooine (FarStar)
We house specialists in Composite, Wookie and Padded Armors.
I am the Padded Specialist, in fact I think I may be the only padded specialist on
FarStar. I don't make compo but I do stock some other Armors.
Currently on my vendor I have some fine suits of Padded Armor.
At the moment my BEST padded armor will be between 68% and 71% Kinetic and
between 43% - 46% Base stats. The higher quality ones (using rarer resources)
go for around 200k, the lower ones are around 150 to 180 depending on weather
you want a helmet or not.
Alternatively you can ask me for a Custom Ordered suit, I sell these for LESS than
the ones on the vendor (full suit 175k) the reason being is there are plenty of folks
ready to buy you out if they think they can resell it!!!
Email me (Sarek) and let me know:
Base Colour (what the 'jumpsuit' part of the armor will be)
Pad Colour (What the raised pads will be)
Some current favorites are:
Orange Jumpsuit - Black Pads
Black Jumpsuit - Red Pads
All Black
White Jumpsuit - Blue Pads
You may also choose a 'name' for your armor which I will apply on all pieces.

Well, with Acklay/Rancor padded segments, its entirely possible to get around 60%heat/80%cold/80%base vuln to stun and acid...but it would take exceptional layers to do so. I used some 46%base Rancor Padded segments and came out with 70%base.
Non enhanced Ive hit 80%kinetic 51%base.

im have 4 decent 44% energy + other good protection stats - im really just after high energy

If you are very patient in resource gathering (like 6 months of watching for padded spawns), you will be able to make nice stuff. I make it with 47-50 base and any one special that is normally a base resist (like kinetic or energy) in the 76-80 range depending on what Yavin Wool I have handy.
I'm on Ahazi, though, so the resource gods may have been cruel in FarStar's case. Anything with a layered special at 70 or above is considered good padded from what I have seen.

Generally though stats with Krayt Segments rest in the 50's.
I have made CR80% but what's the point?? Now my HR60% can be useful. But still.

I made myself a suit of padded this moring using 3-4%/-(5-7) NS layers and3% janta hides. 55% base, 25% specialwith a total HAM of about 200-300 without the helmet. (looks LAME)I might talley it up latertoday.(boots had like 25/38/25)
My integrity was somewhat low, only 22k due to low toughness on my organics *sigh* I dont fight much so this should last forever or at leastuntil I can make better.
I toyed with the idea of using rancor hides in the segs but the 6% base boost could not justify adding 20 odd HAM to every pool per piece.
I may have a master smuggler slice this for me as ANY slice would make this armor better IMHO.
Ifusing kinetic layers 80% kinetic+45% base is simple... unfortunately this armor's HAM approaches comp. If you dont have any special layers 4/4 blast layers with10-12 HAM are a good alternative, although you will still have a medium weight armor with mediocre res.
I guess it matters what you are trying to accomplish. I wanted some light weight fashionable armor with respectable resistances.
As a previous poster mentioned, if you are willing to put the time in gathering the resources/components, you can make excellent padded.

Im no padded specialist.... but I make around 1 suit for costum orders ..... can make mutch more if I get the word out but make no .... advertisment and only make non advanced segment low Enc suits 11%/22% but with Enc of "255/332/337" what can easy be used unbuffed I sell them for 300k people often tell me its expensive.... because I sell composite suits for 280k, but padded rather is mutch more time consuming, and more costy to make because of the hides

Hello,
I am one of the more consistent creators of Padded Armor on my server, Gorath.
I have made two types of padded armor
- the balanced suit. This focuses on high base resist and comes out around 53%
- the kinetic suit. This comes out 73/74% Kinetic and 45/6% base
The kinetic suits are pretty good sellers and can serve as a viable alternative to ubese for the fashion conscious although it is a bit heavier (especially once you factor in the two extra pieces).
However, padded uses a ton of hides and needs Yav Wooly, Lok leather, leather, wooly and scaley making it one of the more expensive types of armor to make.

Right now I'm making 50 base 77% kinetic padded. Thats with using 14/3 kinetic segments so Its hard to make good padded. Also, I am hampered by 600/600 oq sr Cubirian steel which has never been good on bria according to swgcraft.

I have a set of 25% stun padded that was made for me. I haven't seen anything close to that before. Really nice to have versus a fencer or a rifleperson or the geo toting pistol users.
