Hi,

I am a Tk in training and I harvest everything i kill and was wondering if i came across a good batch of bone would there be any use for it. I do not know anything about making armour so i dont know whats hot and whats not. Is bone still used ? If so would a smithy require large amounts of it?

Come to think of it are there any other animal resources that you chaps need in large quantiities.

What would be handy was if someone could post here what quality stuff is required and if its required in mass and what other resources are required regardless of quality.

Let me know chaps. I play on Chimaera by the way.

Wooly hide is far and away the most in demand organic resource for armorsmiths. We need high OQ and SR on our resources. Bone is used in chitin, been at least 9 months since I made any of that.

Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.

i find thatRancor Hide is alot better

it really makes good Armor

i use bone all the time, especially simce the best armor i can make is bone at 35% Energy

You could also make a deal with a padded armor specialist, as they need yavinian wooly hide and lokian leathery hide to make their padded armor.

Wooly hide is in big demand as it is used in both composite and ubese armor.

BTW< I got 42% energy resist on TANTEL armor with 7 experimentation points, and that uses avian bone. And, it's currently the only armor with lightsaber resist, for a day anyways lol.

Dantooine Animal Bones are used in Advanced Segment Chitin and are used in Wookie armor. Avian bones are used in Tantel and Wookie armor. Rori animal bones are used for Advanced Segment Bone.

The only bone that I've found to be able to rival in any way of form to Wooly Hide, is HQ Yavinian Animal Bone (Needed for Interwoven R.I.S.), however, you're best bet will always be with good Wooly Hide.l

Thanks for all of the replies chaps. This information is real helpfull. If I aim towards Yavin Wooly Hide, what stats should i be looking for. You mentioned OQ and SR, but are there others that are important or is that it? Is it possible for someone here to post whats acceptable and whats real good. I get that 900+ on OQ and SR is nice, but what if there is another stat that would it awsome?

I know this next question is veru much server specific but what would 1 unit of 900+ in both OQ and SR sell for. I know this is the armoursmith forum and you do not want to talk prices up, but if the money is not in it then I will stick with meats for the docs out there. but you know how boring it gets doing the same old stuff all the time.

Is that still Wooly Hide? or Leather? i think i read somewhere that Endor leather is used somewhere.
